HOME AWAY FROM HOME K9 CARE

Our Philosophy

Since 2011, we’ve been providing dog parents with peace of mind while they’re away from their pups. We treat every dog in our care like they’re part of our family, ensuring they feel right at home. Having grown up with dogs, we understand exactly what matters when you’re looking for someone to care for, exercise, and train your dog. Our goal is for dog owners to feel confident that their pets are receiving the same love and attention we give our own.

With extensive knowledge of animal care and behavior, we’re committed to offering a fun, safe, and enriching experience for your dog. Whether it's during a K9 sleepover or a pup playdate, your dog will enjoy plenty of exercise, socialization, and enrichment while spending time with our family and their new dog friends. We create an environment where dogs feel like they’re on vacation—having the perfect balance of freedom, structure, and fun.

At the end of the day, our home becomes your dog's home away from home —one they’ll be excited to visit again and again.

About Kari (owner):

I have always loved animals and animal behavior. I earned my degree in Psychology with an emphasis on learning theory from Arizona State University. I have over 20 years of animal training experience as a marine mammal trainer at SeaWorld & a dog trainer at PetSmart. My experience allows me to create an environment for dogs where they can be happy and relaxed while they are away from their family. I am proud to say Home Away From Home K9 Care is now in its 13th year! I am supported by my husband, my two sons, and our Weimaraner Hazy. We all work together to make sure your dog ❤️s their 2nd home.
